Oscar Perez is the Vice President of Information Technology for the Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida. Memorial is a six-hospital system that includes Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, serving southern Broward County, Florida. Mr. Perez has been in healthcare IT for over 21 years. He’s a visionary and transformational leader that believes in putting people and culture first while advancing technology to enhance patient care and taking healthcare to the next level. He’s worked at various healthcare systems is South Florida including academic medical centers like the University of Miami Healthcare System and large public healthcare systems like Jackson Memorial. In addition, he’s consulted at many large healthcare systems throughout the country like Emory in Atlanta, MD Anderson in Houston, and many more. His well-rounded Healthcare IT experience has allowed him to make an impact wherever he’s been.
 
Mr. Perez currently lives with his family in Miami, Florida where he received a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems (MIS) from FIU and a Masters in Healthcare Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami. He also serves on the board for South Florida HIMSS and is a member of CHIME.

Kendall Brown has over 20 years’ experience in Healthcare IT and a member of HIMSS for most of her career (including the Georgia and South Florida Chapters). Kendall has worked at Xerox, McKesson, Allscripts, and most recently employed as National Accounts Director at Ingenious Med. 
Kendall served three terms as South Florida HIMSS Chapter Advocate has been a South Florida HIMSS board member for the last 5 years. In this time, she has put the chapter’s Advocacy program on the national map. As such, Kendall was Nationally Recognized and Awarded by HIMSS as Chapter Advocate of the Year 2019-2020. Under her leadership, SFLHIMSS Chapter has been awarded the Presidential Seal for Advocacy for 2017 & 2018. While Chair of South Florida HIMSS Advocacy, the chapter has won two Chapter Advocacy Roundtable (CAR) Challenges from National HIMSS State Government Affairs highlighting South Florida as an Advocacy leader at the national level.  In 2019, Kendall led the submission of Senate Resolution #1814 declaring Health Information Technology Week in the State of Florida (http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2019/01814). The resolution as adopted by the Florida Senate on April 24, 2019. Kendall has been instrumental in planning three separate Health IT Days at Florida’s Capitol in Tallahassee raising awareness of the importance of both HIMSS and Healthcare IT with our elected officials and government officials.
Kendall has fostered key relationships with many elected officials such as Senator Gayle Harrell, the Agency of Healthcare Administration (AHCA)’s newly appointed Secretary Mary Mayhew and other key healthcare leaders such as Florida’s Agency of State Technology CIO, AHCA Leaders and Florida Department of Health.
Kendall has brought new ideas to South Florida HIMSS Chapter, like the creation of South Florida HIMSS Chapter Lapel Pin where proceeds created a budget for SFLHIMSS Advocacy Committee. Kendall has attended HIMSS Chapter Leader Exchange (annual HIMSS Leadership training) in Cleveland, Ohio. She regularly attends HIMSS Chapter Leadership Training at National HIMSS and represented South Florida Chapter as a speaker on a Hurricane panel at National HIMSS17 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kendall sits on HIMSS Blockchain Policy & Ethics Tiger Team Taskforce.

Chief Clinical Information Officer

Pua Cooper is an experienced nurse with 30 years of leadership & clinical experience. She currently serves as the Assistant Vice President & Chief Clinical Informatics Officer for Boca Raton Regional Hospital where she is responsible for the oversight of the Clinical Informatics, Quality, and Infection Prevention departments. She holds a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialty in Nursing Informatics from Walden University. She is recognized as a Certified Healthcare IT Executive (CHCIO) through the College of Healthcare Informations Management Executives. 

Pua is a very active member of the Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS).  She is a HIMSS Fellow and currently serves on the South Florida HIMSS Board of Directors as the chapter’s past president. Most recently, she was recognized as the HIMSS 2020 National Chapter Leader of the Year recognizing an individual who demonstrates significant leadership, extraordinary contributions to HIMSS Chapters, the society, and a commitment to driving thought leadership within the industry. At the national level, she has served as a member of the HIMSS Chapters Task Force assisting with chapter relations to enhance the relationship between HIMSS and its many chapters. In 2019, she and her informatics team were awarded with the South Florida HIMSS 3rd annual Innovation Award for the creative use of telemedicine in the inpatient hospital setting. Additionally, in 2014, her informatics team was one of eight national finalists in McKesson’s Distinguished Achievement Award for the innovative use of technology to advance care. She has been a speaker on how to leverage technology to improve organizational performance and clinical practice at various local and national conferences including HIMSS, South Florida Organization of Nursing Executives (SFONE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HMFA), and the Nursing Consortium of South Florida.

Jorge Rey is the Director of Information Security and Compliance at Kaufman, Rossin & Co., one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida and one of the top CPA firms in the country. Recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as one of top professionals under the age of 40, he is responsible for managing and performing a variety of information security assessments, SOC /SysTrust reports for companies in the financial services, healthcare, and technology industries. He is a frequent lecturer and has been quoted or featured in many major publications including CIO, ComplianceWeek, The Miami Herald, ComputerWorld, Healthcare Fraud, and others.
Jorge helps organizations ranging from startups to large public and privately held companies address information security, compliance and IT needs. He brings notable experience in security audits, HIPAA/HITECH compliance, technology, vendor management and cloud computing to his clients. He serves on the South Florida HIMSS board and is past Chairman of the ARMA Palm Beach Treasure coast. Jorge is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). He holds a master's degree in Information Technology from Nova Southeastern University and a certificate in Administration of Information Security, recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA).

Ganesh Persad is the Supervisor of Clinical Systems & Interoperability at Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida. Ganesh serves as the technical architect who manages various health information exchange platforms such as, Epic’s Care Everywhere, Carequality, eHealth Exchange, Florida Health Information Exchange and various interfaces with a focus on delivering clinically relevant data at the point of care to align with Memorial Healthcare Systems population health initiatives and to facilitate the organizations value based care initiatives through the use of technology. Prior to Ganesh’s current role he was the Sr. Epic Ambulatory Systems Analyst responsible for project managing all of Memorial Healthcare System’s Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health specialty as well as Employee Health and Global Health departments.
 
Early on in Ganesh’s professional career he was involved in healthcare as a Certified Pharmacy Technician not knowing healthcare is his passion. He worked both in retail and hospital pharmacy settings for almost 8 years, at this juncture is where he realized his passion for technology and automation technology as he was tasked to lead the implementation of the hospital’s Pyxis and Talyst Carousel implementation. This eventually led him to Hackensack University Medical Center’s IT department as an Epic Ambulatory Clinical Systems Analyst and eventually promoted to Epic Ambulatory Clinical Systems Analyst II. In the year 2015 Ganesh relocated with his family and happily accepted the role as a Sr. Systems Analyst at Memorial Healthcare system.
 
Ganesh received his Bachelor’s in Health Information Management degree from Rutgers University. Ganesh recently completed his Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Nova Southeastern University and graduated with High Honors and received the 2018 Chancellor’s Award for the Biomedical Informatics program, for demonstrating the characteristics of scholarship, leadership, integrity, humanity, and loyalty to the profession.
 
Ganesh takes a holistic approach as a health IT evangelist, driving consensus building among teams and acts as a transformational leader to his organization focusing on collaboration, innovation optimization and adhering to industry best practices.

Grant is a veteran information technology (IT) sales professional with over 20 years of experience and loves connecting with people with similar interests.  He attended DeVry Institute of Technology where he received a degree in Electrical Electronics & Communications Engineering. Throughout the years he has racked up certifications such as: Cloud Technology Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, IT Business Conversations-HPE, Selling Business Outcomes – Cisco and Dell EMC certified Associate-Converged Systems and Hybrid Cloud Platforms.
McGaugh provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment for his clients. The primary responsibilities include a wide variety of strategic technology issues: governance and policy, data analytics, collaboration, communication and information technology protocols.
With his training and drive, Grant has become an accomplished and versatile sales leader with demonstrated success in managing the end to end consulting, engagement, and service delivery process from cradle to grave. He is also adept at leveraging deep expertise in enterprise-level business needs analysis and relationship development to deliver highly competitive service offerings and portfolios for his clients.
He has become quite skilled at identifying opportunities for sizeable gains across internal and customer-facing performance indicators, including revenue generation and customer acquisition.
Grant has worked at the expert and executive level for multiple Fortune 500 organizations such as Connection, Zones, Inc., CenturyLink, and Avaya. He has received numerous awards and special recognitions, such as, the 2019 nomination for Healthcare Leadership by Legacy Magazine, the 2018 Gold Sales Achiever, TOP SALES Achiever, Gold Award Honors, and the President’s Club.
Grant McGaugh is the CEO and owner of his own professional career. He is an accomplished business leader and entrepreneur who has served as the president and esteemed board member for several professional organizations including the National Association of Healthcare Executives (NAHSE) and South Florida HIMSS. He has also shared his expertise when asked to speak on healthcare and technology panels. Grant has also shared his knowledge via magazine articles such as the June 2017 issue of Miami Medicine.

Nicole Bramblett has over 15 years of healthcare experience and is currently the Regional Client Relationship Manager for Scrivas in Miami, FL. Scrivas focuses on offering healthcare staffing most notable scribe services, COVID exposure management services and healthcare screeners. Nicole graduated with honors from Florida Atlantic University with a Masters in Healthcare Administration and has a wide range of expertise in social service and healthcare. Nicole is deeply involved as a volunteer in local and national healthcare and advocacy groups such as HIMMS, SFHHA, ACHE, SFHEF, and the Guardian ad litem program.

Ana Agostini has more than 17 years of experience in healthcare IT and is currently the Administrative Director of IT Services over the IT PMO, Service Desk and Identity and Access Management teams at Memorial Healthcare System. Ana started her career at Accenture as a healthcare consultant and has implemented electronic health record, identity access management, and service management systems that have transformed organizations. Ana is a Chemical Engineer by trade. She received her MS in Industrial Engineering, focused on project management, from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She's also a certified PMP, ITIL V3 and holds three Epic certifications.

Jesus Diaz is a collaborative healthcare leader with over 16 years of progressive hands-on experience caring for diverse and complex patient populations across various settings. In his current role as Director of Nursing Clinical Informatics at the Memorial Healthcare System, Jesus supports the bedside by partnering with clinical stakeholders and implementing innovative technology that engages patients while enhancing care delivery practices. Jesus started his healthcare career working as an EMT and has served in several leadership roles in the correctional, forensic, and hospital settings while also leading various technology-driven initiatives.
 
Jesus earned his MBA in Healthcare from FIU, his MSN/BSN with High Honors from Nova Southeastern University, and his RN degree from Broward College. Jesus also serves as the Health IT Committee Chair for the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association.

Paul Salmon joined Envision Physician Services/Sheridan Healthcare in 2015 as the Vice President of IT Project Management Office and was accountable for successful management and oversight of all strategic programs and projects creating value for Sheridan’s physicians, operators and stakeholders. He has moved over to assume the role of Vice President of Quality Analytics. In this role he is accountable for clinical quality analytics and reporting covering regulatory, contractual and physician incentive based reporting. Paul is responsible for creating the Physician Quality Registry (PQR) a CMS authorized and approved Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). His team is responsible for all MIPS/MACRA CMS Reporting and supporting the Envision Health Patient Safety Organization and Clinical Research areas.
Mr. Salmon has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry serving in senior management roles for one of the largest hospital operators, physician driven medical groups, national health plans, and top tear consulting firms. He led phase 1 and phase 2 of the Meaningful Use program for a large hospital system covering over 70 hospitals, certification of internally built EHR, deployment of certified modules across the network, and successful CMS incentive reporting. Paul has been instrumental in advancing systems integration, managed care population health analytics, strategic innovation and clinical process improvement in healthcare throughout his career. He has served as a board member of three HIMSS chapters and continues to be very involved in innovation and advocacy. He is Six Sigma / Lean certified holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and studied at the University of La Verne in the Masters of Health Administration Program.

Leon S. Green is Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) at VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care. Leon oversees all aspects of enterprise-wide project delivery and provides leadership in IT innovation and governance. His experience includes multiple business verticals such as healthcare, transportation & logistics and government services.
Leon, joined VITAS in 2009 as senior project manager, is part of the management team that has successfully led the organization rapid digital transformation. He was promoted to his current role of Director PMO in 2014.
Leon has worked in leadership roles in the information technology field for more than 20 years. Prior to joining VITAS, he served as Senior Project Manager at Ryder System, Inc., a provider of transportation and supply chain management products. Leon was responsible for Ryder’s multi-million dollar Telematics pilot called RydeSmart – a comprehensive suite of GPS Fleet Management Tools. This project was by far one of the highest visibility projects for Ryder.
Earlier in his career, Leon served as Manager at KPMG Consulting, LLP, where he oversaw all aspects of program management for the Government Services practice area, providing strategic vision and operational oversight.
Leon is deeply involved in local and national groups, Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), working to advance healthcare through technology innovation.

Dr. Stephen E. Bronsburg is an Associate Professor, Academic Advisor and Practicum Course Director at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-KPCOM), Department of Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics Program, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to teaching graduate level courses, Dr. Bronsburg actively conducts collaborative health information technology (HIT) research with other healthcare professionals. In his research, he often uses telemedicine strategies including Health Technologies to address chronic disease and addiction. He has presented and published nationally and internationally on HIT. He is an active editorial review board member for the Online Journal of Applied Knowledge Management, he is a peer reviewer for the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and the International Knowledge Management Conference.

Krista Riveron is in her final year at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) as a concurrent degree student in both a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics program. She graduated from the University of Miami in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and minors in chemistry and political science. Shortly thereafter, she received her Juris Doctor degree from NSU in 2009 and has been in the field of patent law for the past decade. After attending the South Florida HIMSS IntegraTe event in 2016, she became a member of the Advocacy Committee where she assisted in coordinating the Florida HIT Advocacy Days in Tallahassee in 2017 and has remained on the Advocacy Committee ever since in addition to her current position as the communication co-chair. She presently resides in Wellington, Florida, and is the mother of four young children.
