Welcome to the South Florida Health Information and Management Systems Society Chapter (SFLHIMSS). On behalf of the board, I would like to welcome you to our chapter website. Our goal is to ensure that you always feel well-informed on chapter activities and know how to become more involved.
South Florida HIMSS is an active and busy chapter that boasts over 1,500 members. It provides members a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and help influence how technology is used to positively transform healthcare in our own backyard. For those of you who are new to the HIT industry, getting involved in the chapter is also a great way to network with seasoned professionals who can help you as you begin your exciting career.
SFLHIMSS is proud to bring a strong line up of events each year. Our signature event is our fall Integrate Conference featuring compelling healthcare IT educational topics. With 400+ healthcare professionals in attendance, you can participate in sessions discussing the latest industry topics as well as collaborate with leading industry solution providers.
Outside of this event, the chapter is proud to continue hosting our annual golf event to raise money for student scholarships. Our Change Agent Forum series is open healthcare disciplines. Whether you are a data sharing expert or a nurse with a desire to learn more about health information technology , this forum is for you. Most recently, the chapter has created its new Innovation program. As its name suggests, the event fosters the sharing of new and innovative practices across our community that can be built upon and replicated. We are pleased to be announcing the first ever Innovation Award winner at our Integrate conference. Watch our website for details on these great events & more!!
Do you want to get involved? Say no more . . . we have committees that would love to have you. To see what is available, visit our webpage South Florida Chapter of HIMSS - Get Involved.
