As President of South Florida HIMSS Chapter for 2021-2023, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our membership with the Board and am committed to leading the Chapter with integrity and respect. Over my eight years of involvement with the SFHIMSS, I have gained rewarding experiences, life-long relationships, and developed a deep understanding of the needs of the South Florida Healthcare IT market. I am excited about the evolving healthcare environment we live in and look forward to our chapter making a positive impact on the future state of healthcare! We are in very exciting and challenging times in Healthcare IT! Our responsibility as Healthcare Professionals is to positively impact the lives of patients through technology and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare. I am passionate about leveraging innovation and information technology to improve the healthcare community! This is what inspires me! During my two-year presidential term, it is my sincerest hope to promote Healthcare IT, education and collaboration for the community and patients we serve.

I am looking forward to expanding our chapter’s membership, continued collaboration with the healthcare community, hosting relevant and timely educational events and providing knowledge to our diverse South Florida community! My commitment is to ensure you always feel well informed of Impactful HealthTech topics. Over the next two years, I plan to establish a new Mentor/Mentee program to complement. This initiative is designed to engage individuals at all stages of their careers, from those just starting out, to our retired members to strengthen capabilities and create new opportunities.

I’m excited about the future, I have big shoes to fill! Under SFLHIMSS leadership, supported by a dedicated board, SFLHIMSS became a leader on the national scene. It is quite an achievement for our chapter to be honored with three awards by National HIMSS and warrants a standing ovation! We should be proud of our accomplishments as a premier Health IT organization! All this could not be possible without our amazing team of volunteer leaders! We can’t, however, rest on our laurels and need to continue pushing the envelope to serve our communities as our industry continues to face unprecedented change and challenges.
