The Annual Florida HIMSS Advocacy Day is a ½ day education session providing an opportunity to learn about and discuss Healthcare IT policies and associated State legislation. The remaining portion of the day will consist of visiting elected officials to help them understand our point of view. It is a State-based version of the National HIMSS Annual Policy Summit and Advocacy activities that occur in Washington, DC each September.

8-noon Education: Presentations from Respective Organizations and An Update on Florida Healthcare Bills

Noon-4pm meetings with elected officials; Presentation of Resolution in Senate Chamber and potentially attending a Healthcare Policy Committee Meeting
