South Florida HIMSS (SFLHIMSS) wants to invite you to learn from State HIT/HIE experts as they discuss the technology and tools implemented in the State of Florida to manage data collection and reporting related to COVID-19.

You will learn about Policies and Regulations that enable and incentivize data collection and reporting for Infectious Disease, how data flows from providers to Florida Department of Health (FDOH) to other organizations, the value to Healthcare systems, and how this data is used by epidemiologists and third parties in both public and private sectors.

Other important topics include orientation about the new Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) program, an overview of the HIT platforms utilized by the Florida Department of Health such as ENS, Merlin, Essence and AIMS, data sets, data collection details and how is this data is consumed by FDOH and nationally.
